The model is now fixed: open-core gateway, per-seat Pro, and a reserved Enterprise savings add-on. Price points stay commercial, but the shape is no longer TBD. Metis never resells provider tokens; you bring your Anthropic / OpenAI / OpenRouter keys.
Metis Community
open-core gateway
$0
Self-host the gateway, agent loop, canonical IR, routing engine, trace store, pattern store, heuristic evaluator, and deployment-level analytics. BYO provider keys and infra.
Metis Pro
team deployment
per active seat
Per active user per month. Adds full multi-user identity, per-team caps, per-user/team analytics, LLM judge tier, audit export, hosted operations, and the agent upgrade path.
Metis Enterprise
outcome-linked
custom
Pro plus a capped percent-of-savings add-on for procurement-led buyers, custom routing policies, longer audit retention, deployment support, and dedicated success engineering.
Model shape ratified in docs/specs/pricing.md ยง5.5.4 and implemented in Wave 15's opt-in billing module. Dollar price points remain deferred to first-buyer triangulation.
Will the Community gateway stay free?
Yes. The gateway, the agent loop, the canonical IR, the routing engine, the trace store, the pattern store, and the evaluator are in the $0 self-hosted Community path. License text stays owner-side; we never see your traffic.
What's in the paid tiers, then?
A managed control plane: hosted gateway, multi-team rollups, SSO, longer audit-log retention, the pattern store as a service, custom evaluator rubrics, support SLAs, and an enterprise %-of-savings add-on for buyers who want their bill tied to the savings curve.
What shipped in billing?
Stripe-backed subscription lifecycle, webhook idempotency, Pro per-seat lines, Enterprise savings usage records, six billing audit events, and tier-axis quota composition. Billing is opt-in via deployment config; deployments without it are byte-for-byte free-tier runtime.
Does Enterprise mean Metis takes a cut of provider spend?
No. The Enterprise add-on meters verified savings, not raw tokens. Provider invoices still come from the provider. The savings line is reserved for buyers who want an outcome-linked contract on top of the predictable Pro seat floor.
Community is the zero-friction gateway. Pro starts when identity, hard caps, audit export, hosted operations, and the agent matter.
